        Managed Service support across IT Project and Programme Portfolio

        As a long-standing client of Allen Lane, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) were introduced to our consulting partner to support their need for Managed Services across their IT Project and Programme Portfolio.

        The brief

        Citing struggles to resource good candidates with standard approaches to market and lack of time to deliver, GSTT turned to Allen Lane for recruitment support through a managed service approach.

        Our approach

        In the early stages of the relationship, Allen lane supported our consulting partner throughout the tender/awarding process, offering specialist insights into the market and the client.

        Exclusively driving the recruitment, we:

        • led on the vetting and shortlisting, supported the interview process, and then helped our consulting partner with onboarding processes specific for our public sector clients
        • supported our consulting partner in providing consistent and fair after care to our associates, including giving them clear insight into the terms and conditions of their managed service contracts, payment terms, and rectifying any on-site issues they may be having.
        • Consistently kept the communication lines open with the delivery team, providing progress transparency to GSTT.
        • introduced our consulting partner to new stakeholders throughout the ongoing Managed Service program  to extend our service to new areas of the Trust, equally providing suitable solutions to more long-term clients of Allen Lane’s at the Trust.

        The result

        In addition to our successful implementation of managed services, and the recruitment and retention of up to 40, which scaled up from 0 to 40 within the first 3 months of the contract, with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, our support lead to a multi-year exclusive contract between our consulting partner and GSTT.
