It is the BBC’s international development charity, believing in the power of media and communication to help reduce poverty and support people in understanding their rights. Our aim is to inform, connect and empower people around the world. The charity works in partnership to provide access to useful, timely and reliable information. They help people make sense of events, engage in dialogue and take action to improve their lives.
We were tasked with recruiting four exciting new Project Accountants to join a high performing, internationally-facing team. These posts were varied, forward looking and included international travel. Each role directly supports a specific group of regional country offices and aims to ensure the effective control of the accounting and financial reporting processes.
Our client was looking to attract the very best candidates for these critical posts. They needed to be a fully qualified accountant with a proactive approach, a flexible communication style and a genuine passion for international development and the fantastic work BBC Media Action do.
Our approach was to proactively target candidates from a Big 4 background or coming from one of the top 20 audit firms.
Sourcing into roles which have historically been difficult to fill, we were pleased to fill all roles and two of the successful candidates were referrals.
