        In this post, you serve as a senior subject matter expert (SME), offering technical and design assurance and expertise across multiple work streams.

        You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements so that suitable technical solutions can then be proposed, agreed and implemented with our delivery partners. This role will exert considerable influence, ensuring business decisions meet necessary requirements.

        As Technical Assurance Lead, you will hold accountability for technical design, assurance, and leadership. You will act as an ‘intelligent customer’, ensuring that proposed solutions align with the organisation’s architectural and strategic principles. You will act as the most senior technologist for the function reporting into the Digital Transformation Lead and CIO (deputising for either role where needed).

        You will provide strategic advice and guidance on complex technical matters, whilst providing oversight to projects and change activities ensuring that internal teams and external service providers are delivering solutions in accordance with the agreed scope and design. You will ensure technical assurance requirements are met, specifically for any products related to Cyber Security, Data Protection, and Disaster Recovery.

        Essential Criteria – to be demonstrated in your application:

        • At least 5 years’ experience working as technical assurance / lead or solutions architect role or within a similar remit to this JD.
        • Experience working with cloud based solutions e.g. Software as a Service (SaaS) or platforms such as Platform as a Service (PaaS).
        • Experience of the Microsoft stack Including Office 365, Azure, Dynamics CRM and SharePoint.
        • Demonstrable experience liaising with stakeholders to translate business requirements into relevant artefacts.
        • Experience working with Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products to meet business requirements.
        • A good understanding of current technology trends and the availability of products within the marketplace.
        • A good understanding of infrastructure, communications and security technologies.
        • A good understanding with demonstrable experience of cyber solutions and how these can support business to mitigate cyber risk within a best practice framework of controls.
        • Experience working with environments that use the Microsoft technology stack e.g. Windows, SQL Server, Active Directory BizTalk and Exchange etc.
        • Able to describe an organisations data architecture using tools such as logical data models and entity relationship diagrams.
        • Ability to challenge and provide scrutiny to business leaders and senior staff.
        • Ability to present at senior forums such as SLT and EDG meetings, Programme Boards, Commercial / Contract Boards.
        • Ability to influence change through teams or individuals, and act accordingly – providing coaching / mentoring / guidance / advice where required.
        • Excellent and well proven oral and written communication skills and a capacity to work with a wide range of people.
        • Excellent interpersonal and activity management skills.
        • Ability to act under own initiative and constantly strive to deliver excellence in your work.

        *1-2 days per week in Canary Wharf
