        We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Category Manager to join our Kent-based Public Sector client permanently.

        As a Category Manager, you will lead the Professional Services category, playing a crucial role in driving innovative procurement strategies and delivering exceptional value. You will report directly to the Head of Procurement and manage one direct report, a Category Officer.

        Key Responsibilities:

        • Lead the Professional Services category, ensuring effective procurement and contract management.
        • Develop and promote innovative procurement strategies and market analysis techniques.
        • Provide data and supplier analysis to support new service delivery methods, ensuring best value and continuous improvement.
        • Support and collaborate with the Head of Procurement in designing and implementing local and national strategies.
        • Ensure compliance with Public Sector procurement regulations and the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
        • Lead procurement projects via the Government’s Find a Tender Service (FTS).

        Requirements:

        • Significant experience in Public Sector procurement and familiarity with Public Contract Regulations 2015.
        • Membership or working towards membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
        • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
        • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
        • Proven track record in leading procurement initiatives and achieving best value.
        • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
