Reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations, this pivotal Commercial Lead role places you at the forefront of revolutionising the Category Strategy practices.
As the Commercial Lead, you will spearhead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of best practices, fostering innovation and growth.
Working model: Hybrid (flexible) some travel required away from base
- Develop and embed Category Strategy as a cornerstone practice, crafting efficient processes and templates.
- Champion the training of our Commercial team, providing invaluable guidance on best practices.
- Supply market intelligence to the Sourcing & Procurement and Contract & Supplier Management teams.
- Champion the professional growth of your Commercial colleagues, ensuring their development needs are met.
- Communicate intricate Commercial insights to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare written reports and presentations for senior management and the Board, conveying key Commercial developments.
Qualifications and Skills
- You possess a solid track record of category management, sourcing, procurement, contract management, and supplier relationship management across diverse categories.
- You have demonstrated leadership in both public and/or private sector management roles within complex organizations.
- Your leadership abilities have been proven through people management experiences.
- You excel at motivating and inspiring colleagues while thriving under tight deadlines.
- You hold a CIPS Level 6 or equivalent qualification or possess equivalent knowledge and experience.
